卡塔尔世界杯将“台湾”改为“中华台北”，外交部：赞赏（中英双语）

有记者提问，据了解，卡塔尔世界杯组织方已将其注册平台中的“台湾”表述改为“中华台北”。中方对此有何评论？

We have learned that the organizer of the Qatar World Cup has changed “Taiwan” to “Chinese Taipei” in its application system. What is your comment?

汪文斌表示，台湾是中国的一部分，坚持一个中国原则是国际关系基本准则和国际社会普遍共识。中方赞赏卡塔尔政府恪守一个中国原则，并根据国际体育赛事一贯做法处理相关事宜。

Taiwan is part of China. The one-China principle is a basic norm governing international relations and shared consensus of the international community. China appreciates Qatari government’s commitment to the one-China principle and its handling of the issue in line with the established practice of international sports events.
